I will refrain from naming the Tory few who "dropped off" in class, but I am sure if they are your Cllrs you will be refreshed to see them working so hard on your behalf!
Our first sleeper here actually managed to get through a number of her colleagues and opposition contributions before being awoken by her neighbour.
I remember very well a few years ago when I worked for the County Council that the then shared "Members Room" reminded me very much of many of a residents lounge within our residential care homes for the elderly with all the chairs placed around the perimeter and floral curtains and haberdashery everywhere.
But now it seems as if "gods waiting room" has moved to the Council chamber!

Loved the post Tony, I would be interested in your thoughts about the amount of money NCC are chucking at Silverstone and the amount of freebies some councillors are getting out of this.

Thanks Gary, on Silverstone it is clear that the Tories have an obsession with the circuit and the support for this one company far exceeds any other in the County. My opinion is that in good times maybe these pet projects can be supported but when you can't even keepnthe street lights on then your prodigies seem to be twisted. On freebies it will be interesting to see what is included in the register of members interests this year. One other crazy plan is that this months cabinet is being held at Silverstone! Making it inaccessible for all those who rely on public transport. But I suppose the public can always watch the webcast and watch the poor souls being woken up by all those noisy cars!
